This article goes through how to take really eye catching photos. It does this by going through 9 different composition techniques. It starts with the most important of all of them, Rule of Thirds. This alone will almost always make your shots look more interesting. Lines are also a factor you can take into account as they can lead the viewers eye where to look. You can also use diagonal lines to show movement. The article also goes into patterns and repetition which is visually pleasing to the eye. The cool thing is that if you break a pattern it makes for a really interesting and unique photo. Symmetry is also a very appealing image to the eye giving balance. The article goes into others such as Framing, Figure to Ground, Filling the Frame, and Center Dominant Eye. They then conclude the article by stating that in the end once you know all of the rules you can break them, as rules are sometimes meant to be broken.
I really enjoyed this article. It was very interesting and enjoyable to read. I agree with all of the techniques on the list and personally use them in photos I take. I can say though that I never knew about the Center Dominant Eye one, this one seems really interesting to me and I will definitely try this one out in the future. The article itself was also really straight forward leaving me with no questions about it. This article pertains more to the video side of Digital Media. Overall great article.
