Animation is hard work it can sometimes take years of work. Before that though you have to find a job, but this isn't how you should think about it. If you go for a job inn animation thinking that this is where I will work for the rest of my life, stop. Thinking about it like that is suicide and can make you hurt in the long run. In reality you don't want a job in animation you want a career in it. Think about it, you may want a job to last forever but it's not going to happen, eventually you will have to transition to something new. When you get used to the fact that being an animator is just a long string of different work and opportunities, that is when you know you have a career. You don't just one job that you cant transition from after 25 years of working. If you want to be an animator then you should want a career and not just a job. There are also a few things to learn from this. One thing is to never take a gig for granted, this is because each job is a piece of a career that you are building for yourself. So don't spend time at just one job, instead spend time on a career.
This article was really good. I really enjoyed it just because it spoke reality of a situation and not just what you wanted to hear. This article even taught me something, it taught me that you shouldn't take animation as just one big job, but instead as a career. I also really liked this article because of how straight forward it was, nice and to the point no questions what so ever. This article was relevant to the animation side of digital media. Overall great article.
